8 Tips for Getting Your Home Ready for the Holidays

It is best to be prepared for the holidays and getting your home ready ahead of time, or at least having a great plan to fall back on, will help you enjoy the moments with family, friends, and loved ones through the entire season.

1. Declutter – The best way to start is to declutter your most frequently used spaces, especially those you may have guests or family seeing over the holiday season. Throw or give away items you don’t use, put up items that are spring and summer seasonal, and return items that don’t belong to their homes. If you need a little extra storage to tuck away some of these items, consider a hutch or side table with storage built in.
