Natural wax is thoroughly buffed into the grain of most of our woods to enhance its inherently brilliant patterns and texture. To dust or clean, use a dry cloth, as oils and chemicals will eventually lift and soften the natural wax finish and cause streaking. For tougher spills, use a damp cloth and dry the surface immediately. Chemical cleansers, including most household furniture polish, will break down the wax. As with any hardwood piece, using chemical, commercial cleansers should be avoided in order to maintain its beauty and uniform finish.
